The Nursery: Where to place Cribs and Bassinets

Your little bundle of joy’s safety is the main consideration in designing a nursery. This article would discuss the ideal place for your baby’s crib and bassinet. Doo not put the crib or bassinet near the windows, draperies, blinds or shelves that can cause accidents. Avoid hanging picture frames or paintings above the crib that can fall on the baby.
The crib or bassinet can be placed against the wall which is away from the window. This can be further beautified with a secured light mesh canopy hanging from the ceiling. If you have a colorful wall painting, place a white bassinet or crib that gives contrast to it. Extra wicker baskets below the crib can be used for storage. An extra bed that can be used by the toddler or for the parents is also recommended for gradual transitions.
